The Big Sick is hit and miss but mostly miss. It is occasionally funny. It is also sometimes heartwarming. But I still don’t get the fuss it made.

Kumail is a brilliant standup comic, but he isn’t a great actor. He falls flat in emotional scenes and isn’t all that great in funny scenes either.
